The AJP TEAM'S CUP 2021 are organized as a Team Competition System, consisting of:

The Club Member holds current membership of AJP according to Regulations. Teams must register the respective official team including the official coaches showing all participating players to

Athletes must be minimum of 15 years (Born in 2006 and before).

General conditions and club membership

In order to participate in the AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021, the players must be a registered member of the club during the current Season(2020-2021) and at the Nominal Entry deadline of 30th August 2021.

The clubs are obliged to sign an agreement with each athlete to represent the club in AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 for the calendar year. The agreements must be signed before 30th August 2021. The agreement will be signed on a unified form provided by AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021. Clubs must be ready to present the signed agreements to AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 upon request. Once athlete signs for a club he is bound for AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 to this particular club and he cannot be transferred to another club for TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 or in a running calendar year. An athlete who would sign for more than one club in a particular year will be suspended from participation in AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 events in that year.


Authorization/Nomination of qualified clubs (TeamForm to be sent to the Clubs)

The Club shall confirm the participation and nominate their participating players by filling in and sending Team Form to AJP Head Office. The qualified and authorized clubs have to send their Team registrations. This registration is to confirm the participation of the team and should be signed by the President of the Club or official representative. These registrations have to contain the weight and names of the competitors. Further, the Team Official has to create the club players in

Nominal registrations are limited to six (6) quota or eight (8) maximum number of athletes and one (1) coach and one (1) official. Since after this date no new athletes can be added (no matter for what reason) it’s highly recommended to register as many athletes as possible to have a sufficient number of athletes also in case of injuries.

Final Team List Confirmation

The final list of the team, a minimum of three (3) competitors, is confirmed with the AJP official at the accreditation. The competitors on the final list of Club can only be chosen from the nominal list entered in by 1st August 2021(No new athletes can be added!).

Notice: All bank fees and bank transfer costs are to be paid by the mandatoryIn case that a team withdraws from the competition and has not informed the AJP Head Office by written notice at least 1 month before the date of the competition, the club will pay a fine.

The times and place for check-in and accreditation are specified in the program. Club delegations must arrive and check-in within the time limits provided. A maximum of 2 representatives per Team is allowed in the accreditation room.

Final Team List Confirmation

A list of all the inscribed competitors per each team will be generated by the AJP, from which the head of the delegation will select the athletes for the final team list (see5. registrations). Note: No new athletes can be added. The final team list is confirmed by the AJP official.

Composition of Team for Contest

The team should consist of three(3)competitors one in each of the following weight categories:







In order to be represented, the team must be composed of at least 2(two) competitors who can compete in 3(three)different weight categories.

*Clubs can have three teams(onefor each age group) or only compete in a single age group Team competition.

Competition Format

The tournament shall be a doubles round-robin format with sixteen (16)teams. There shall be four (4) groups of four (4) teams each with four (4) seeds to be determined by the 2020-2021 AJP World Rankings. The round-robin shall determine the four(4)teams for the semi-finals with the format thereafter being a single-elimination competition. All teams defeated in the first round and later rounds of elimination table will be positioned in repechage table in a pre-set order. The winners of two repechage final contests will compete in bronze medal contests against the loser of the semifinal contest of the opposite half of the elimination table.

Duration of Individual Contests

Duration contests: 5 minutes and 1 minute Golden Score.

Line-Up of the Team

Before each team contest, the team leader must present to the Sports Director the line-up of the team. At each round, he/she has the right to replace one or several competitors with other competitors of the corresponding weight category or from the next lower category. All competitors in the line-up for the team entering the mat for the official bow have to compete. If one competitor does not compete the team will lose by disqualification 0 - 3! A competitor, who has presented himself for the contest and does not compete, loses the right to compete in the event. If one team does not arrive for the match, the other team will be declared the winner 3 - 0.


The team contest consists of 3 individual contests in the 3 weight categories(lightweight,middleweight, heavyweight).The number of individual contests won will decide the winning team

  1. Win by Submission = 4 points
  2. Win by Points = 3 points
  3. Draw = 1 point
  4. Loser = 0 points

In case of an equal score at the final match, the match will be declared draw = 1 point for each team and the next match will be contested. If the fight draws at the end of the third contest, the contest will be continued with Golden Score. In case both teams are represented by 2 athletes only and the number of wins is equal, the team with the higher sum of winning technical scores is the winner. In case the sum of winning technical scores is also equal the contest will be continued with Golden Score.


The brackets draw will take place one day before the competition; place and time can be found in the program. At least one delegate from each participating club must attend the draw; a maximum of two delegates per team will be allowed in the draw room.


The place and time for weigh-in can be found in the program. .The weigh-in will be organized by teams, the full team must be presented for the weigh-in and the weight of the athletes must fall within the limits of their category to which they belong to.


  1. presenting themselves after the closing of the weigh-in, cannot participate.
  2. can present themselves only one time on the scales during the official weigh-in.
  3. must present their AJP accreditation and PASSPORT or National ID Card showing nationality and date of birth at the official weigh-in.


The AJP shall provide for the medal ceremony:

  1. First place: 1 Trophy, up to 6 Gold medals and prize money
  2. Second place: 1 Trophy, up to 6 Silver medals and prize money
  3. Third place: 1 Trophy, up to 6 Bronze medals and prize money

Every medallist team can take part at the awarding ceremony with a max. 6 players and 1 coach.It is strictly forbidden for competitors on the podium to bring clubs flags or the similar identification other than the one represented in the regular manner on their equipment. Any demonstration of religious, political, personal or commercial sign is prohibited and so is wearing a cap or any other head cover.

Teams placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive prize money as follows:

  3. Third places: TBC

Prize money will be paid by bank transfer not later than 10(ten)days after competition according to bank details sent by Club to AJP Head Office. After receipt of payment, Club will have obligation to send a signed Acknowledgement(AJPTreasury will send the form).


The four(4)medallists of the 1st round of AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021 will be seeded directly for the 2nd Round AJP TEAM's CUP 2020-2021.


Approved GI

All players must compete in AJP Approved GI.

GI ControlIt will be checked prior to the fight.

BacknumberEach competitor taking part in the TEAM's CUP events is obliged to have sewn on the back of his GI the official back name (both AGP and clubs are allowed) bearing his surname and his Club abbreviation. The back number will be provided from AJP. The special back label(sticker)of the TEAM's CUP 2021 will be given to the head of the delegation during registration, and the athletes have to stick it themselves on the sewed back number (dry GI).

Markings and Advertising

Please note: On all advertising spaces it is strictly prohibited to promote tobacco, alcohol, any substances listed in the doping code, or any product or service contrary to public morals. Detailed information is available on


  1. If an athlete does not respect the Gi rules, the athlete will not be permitted to pass the GI Control, and the coach who is responsible for the athlete will be suspended for the rest of the competition day.
  2. In the case of a repeated offense the coach will be suspended for the rest of the competition.


Code of the behavior of coaches as defined in the AJP Regulations will be strictly observed, including the Dress Code.

  1. Coaches are not allowed to give indications to the competitors while they are fighting inside the field of play.
  2. Only during the pause time (after a stop), will coaches be permitted to give indications to their athletes.
  3. After the pause is finished, and the fight continues (referee fight command), coaches must keep silent.
  4. If a coach doesn't follow these rules, she/he can be expelled from the competition area.
  5. If coaches persist with such behavior the AJP Accreditation will be taken away for the day. If the coach still persists with this behavior from outside the competition area, she/he could be penalized further.
