
ADGS Rome 2025: Rubens Cobrinha and Kennedy Maciel lead a seminar in Italy

Coming as this year's first tournament in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Tour and marking the AJP's return to Italy, the ADGS Rome is gearing up to be another memorable tournament in the organization's repertoire. But while the competition aims to bring action to another level with some of the toughest names in the sport, the event also has another big attraction in store for fight fans and athletes alike.
Between February 21st and 22nd, the ADGS Rome Seminar will be welcoming Jiu-Jitsu legend Rubens Charles "Cobrinha" and his talented son Kennedy Maciel to the Centro Olimpico Matteo Pellicone, giving them a stage upon which they'll share their techniques, knowledge, and experience with practitioners of all ages and graduations.
An icon of the sport, Rubens Cobrinha is an ADWPJJC veteran who's widely regarded as one of the best athletes of all times, a fame he earned by competing and conquering gold medals all over the world. Meanwhile, Kennedy Maciel follows in his father's footsteps and continues to build his legacy in the sport, with two ADGS titles to his name in addition to countless other accolades since his promotion to black belt back in 2018.
The seminar will take place at the Centro Olimpico Matteo Pellicone between February 21st and 22nd, starting at 7 pm local time. Cobrinha and Maciel will host gi and no-gi training sessions, with each of the powerhouses offering their knowledge to help the attendees hone their techniques.
