The Python Jiu-Jitsu Academy stands out among most Jiu-Jitsu schools in the United States for its emphasis on personal protection. Our unique fighting system encompasses six essential elements: striking, chokes/strangulations, joint locks, throws, takedowns, and pins. While many schools prioritize competition training for its students, we remain committed to teaching the fighting style rooted in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We recognize that solely focusing on sport Jiu-Jitsu techniques will not adequately prepare individuals for real-life encounters that may arise in street situations. Our academy takes a balanced approach by incorporating both fighting techniques and competition techniques into our curriculum. While we accommodate students who wish to participate in competitions, we allocate the majority of our training towards personal protection. The remaining of the training is dedicated to competition techniques, ensuring that our students are well-rounded practitioners capable of handling various scenarios both on and off the mat.
