
ADGS Moscow 2025: Masters take the action to the next level on the second day of the tournament

Coming back to the Sport Academy Dinamo for its second day, the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Tour Moscow 2025 brought even more action this Saturday, August 30th, with talented athletes from both the Master and Youth categories taking over the mats and showing their skills across the five fight areas set up in the venue. With the coveted ADGS gold medal and 2000 global ranking points on the line, all bets were off as each competitor entered the battlefield to stake their claim to the top of the podium.
The highlights of the day were the duels of the Master 1 Black Belt categories, as each competitor showcased their experience and grit while fighting for the lead in their respective weight classes. Starting with the men, Gevorg Arutyunyan submitted both Jeison Mora and Haitham Hanawi for the 56kg title, while Rafael Kostanyan got the better of Tariq Alzaabi in a best-of-three bracket in the 62kg division, with his first win coming by a 15-3 score and the second one via submission.
Moving on to the 69kg division, Dzhimsher Razmadze added another medal to his resumé by submitting Jobson Apolinario and then outscoring Giorgi Razmadze by 3-1. Thiago Marques landed submissions on Maksim Vorontsov and Aleksandr Karmanov to become the 77kg champion, Nikolay Salmin got two wins in the 85kg bracket before getting the three taps from Iurii Kuznetsov in the final, Viacheslav Ilin conquered the 94kg gold with a narrow 4-3 win over Belmir Ahmespahic, and Mahir Zuka outscored Thiago Borges before submitting Khasan Betelgeriev to cement his reign over the 120kg division.
On the women’s side, the dangerous Lina Grosset conquered another ADGS gold medal with a great campaign in the 62kg division, starting with a 2-0 win over Estela Lima in the semifinal and then absolutely dominating Alena Pavlova in the final, scoring 12-0 before launching a deadly submission attack and getting the three taps around the four-minute mark. Meanwhile, the 70kg division saw the rise of Yulia Enkova, who entered a best-of-three bracket against Tatiana Tabelskaya and landed two back-to-back victories to reach the top of the podium, winning first by 4-0 and then by 6-0.
With the Master category champions sporting their gold medals and all the Youth brackets concluded, the event now prepares to host the aces of the Professional category in the third and final day this Sunday, August 31st.
