ADGS Xi'An 2024: Check out the highlights registered to compete in China

October 17, 2024

It's almost time for the next chapter of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Tour. After bringing the action to Turkey, Brazil, Russia, and The US, now it is time for the traveling tournament series to land on Chinese shores, with the ADGS Xi'An bringing the tour's signature action to the Shaanxi Sports Training Center this weekend, between October 18th and 20th.

With Masters fighting on the first day and Youths on the second, the third and last day of the event will be split between Amateur and Professional matches, giving athletes of all ages and graduations the chance to put their skills to the test on one of the most challenging battlegrounds in AJP's roster. It's worth noting that, in addition to the gold and glory that comes from taking the top spot on the podium in an ADGS tournament, champions will also receive a whopping 2000 points, giving them an incredible chance to advance through the global rankings to become heroes at the end of the season.

Opening the championship this Friday, October 18th, the Master category is always a treat for fight fans and athletes alike, using their technical prowess and experience to put on awe-inspiring duels. With the likes of Haitham Hanawi, Nicolas Ponce, Mohamed Alamri, Ives Sacramento, Artem Kaygarodov, and Lina Grosset representing their respective countries, the Master category is set to have a lot of action this time around. And that's not to mention the Brazilian aces who'll be joining the fray in China, like José Carlos Filho, Thiago Marques, Matheus "Tá Danado" Xavier, Wallace Costa, and Paulo Brasil, all ready to show their skills and fight for the gold.

Meanwhile, the Professional category is, as always, one of the main attractions of the tournament, especially when it comes to the black belts. Also known as "The Elite of Jiu-Jitsu", these warriors embody the very essence of the sport, bringing top-tiered moves and strategies to become ADGS champions. Coming as highlights on the men's side, Welison Fernandes, Nikita Devyatov, Jefferson Goteu, and Lucas Protasio will be bringing the action to the lighter divisions, while Mikael Rhaillander, Luiz Henrique Betta, Catriel Rodrigues, and Dmitrii Vostrikov put their skills to the test against the meanest opponent in the heavier categories. Making things even spicier on the women's side, Dayane Bazzoni, Rafaela Bertolot, Larissa Paes, Marwa Alhousani, and Yara Soares are all set to compete and put on amazing performances to conquer the title.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Tour Xi'An starts this Friday, October 18th, with all fights broadcast live and exclusively on the modern TX7.com platform. Follow @ajptour on social media to stay up-to-date on all the tournaments taking place around the world.
