AJP Asia Continental: Check out the highlights registered for the Master category

Taking place this weekend, the AJP Tour Asia Continental Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2024 promises another memorable tournament at the modern Mubadala Arena, in Abu Dhabi. From Friday, September 13th, to Sunday, September 15th, the event brings athletes of all ages and graduations to show their skills and fight for the hefty prize of 1400 global ranking points.
Joining the fray on the tournament's second day, the Master category brings its experience to the AJP mats, with its warriors ready to use their strategy and technical prowess to conquer the gold in the organization's birthplace. Among the battle-hardened athletes taking the stage, the black belts from the Master 1 class are always a show in their own right as they deftly combine brains and brawn to conquer gold and glory in the AJP. In the 56kg division, Emerson Cassio from Brazil and Haitham Hanawi, an Emirati athlete, promise another intense duel for the lead in the bracket. Marko Oikarainen, from Finland, returns for another performance in Abu Dhabi and will face names such as Valmecir Junior and Rafael Gonçalves, both from Brazil. Representing Georgia, Dzhimsher Razmadze comes from a good performance in Russia and will be up against the likes of Brazil's Johnathan França and Breno Lima, from Portugal, among other dangerous contenders.
Meanwhile, at the 77kg division, Thiago Marques returns with his sights set on another double gold. Against him, big names such as Ali Monfaradi, from Bahrain, and André Cantanhede, from Brazil, will do everything they can to spoil his plans. UAE's Naser Albreiki comes in strong in the 85kg division, with Ives Sacramento, Marcos Costa, and other tough opponents standing on his path to the gold. Renato Cardoso and Matheus "Tá Danado" promise to put on a show in the under 94kg division, while Felipe Bezerra and Wallace Costa are set to shine in the under 120kg division. In the women's division, names such as Violeta Angelova, Marwa Alhousani, and Marcelle Cantanhede are set to compete for the title in their respective categories.
