ADGS Moscow: Check out who are the main names to look out for in the Professional category

With just a few days to go until the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam's next competition, fight fans are officially on the countdown as the AJP gets ready to take over the Russian country this weekend. Taking place between August 30th and September 1st, the ADGS Moscow 2024 is shaping up to be another memorable tournament in the tour's history, with dangerous rookies and battle-hardened veterans climbing up to the mats in hopes of becoming the next ADGS Champion.

A guaranteed show in every tournament, the Professional category is always a sight to behold whenever its warriors take the stage, especially when it comes to the black belts who make up the fearsome "Elite of Jiu-Jitsu". Being one of the more important and rewarding competitions in the AJP's roster, every edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam is sure to lure some of the most dangerous names in the sport, and this time it's no different. Check out below the highlights of the Professional Black Belt category.

Coming in hot in the 56kg division, the UAE duo Omar Alsuwaidi and Theyab Alnuaimi bring the full might of their Jiu-Jitsu to the bracket but will have to contend with the Brazilian Welison Fernandes, another strong athlete vying for the title. Meanwhile, the 62kg division features Yuri Hendrex and Jefferson Fagundes representing Cícero Costha against fellow Brazilian Pablo Mantovani and the Emirati rising star Khaled Al Shehhi.

The 69kg division brings about the return of the veteran Thiago Marques to the mats, as the Brazilian hunts for another title in the organization. Mohammed Alsuwaidi and Omar Alfadhli make up a strong front for the UAE in the bracket, while Dzhimsher Razmadze comes as a dangerous underdog to conquer the gold for Georgia. Moving on to the 77kg division, the bracket might bring about a clash of countrymen as Brazilians Jefferson Goteu and Lucas Protasio seek the top of the podium, while the Russian Artem Kaygarodov prepares to use his skills and steal the spotlight in his homeland.

In the 85kg division, the Brazilian Uanderson Ferreira and the Emirati Naser Albriki come as highlights, while Luiz Henrique Betta and Jackson Sousa join the roster as the strongest contenders for the title in the 94kg bracket. In the heaviest division, Matheus "Ta Danado" and Felipe Bezerra stand to face off for the title, while the Russian Vladimir Blium spices things up in the 120kg division.

On the women's side, names like Julia Alves, Diana Teixeira, Lina Grosset, Marwa Alhosani, and Dayane Bazzoni stand ready to put their skills to the test and shake up their respective divisions while fighting for the gold.
